This year RCS will take part in its first ever Hour of Code! This worldwide event is held annually the second week of December and is designed to get students interested in learning about coding in a way that’s fun, interactive, and approachable. As a part of Computer Science Education Week, schools and other organizations around the world pledge to spend at least an hour to letting students explore the basics of coding. Why is this so important?
So the week of December 4-8, 2017, students will be engaging in computer science activities designed to develop the basic thinking and problem-solving skills used in computer programming. There are activities for all age levels and skill levels. Parents…check it out for yourselves here. Click on any of the self-guided activities and explore!
